Environmental design!

Hi everyone! I would like to share my first steps in environmental design in the class I am taking in CG masters academy with Aaron Limonick (Naughty Dog). I have been experimenting with organic shapes and going nuts with rocks! They are very rought comps and sketches. More to come! What do you think?

Hola a todos! Me gustaría compartir mis primeros pasos en diseño de escenarios para la clase que estoy tomando en CG masters academy, impartida por Aaron Limonick, de Naughty Dog. He estado experimentando con formas orgánicas y volviéndome loca con las rocas! No es nada terminado ni muy pulido, son más bien bocetos. Más avances por venir! Qué os parece?

My new neighbourhood!

I have begun a new adventure in Bournemouth and I am astounded by the small english brick houses and especially by my quiet and adorable neighbourhood, so I decided to explore it in animation style! I added a little of magic due to the proximity of Halloween! You can imagine me in one of those windows drawing all day! :D


Empezando mi nueva aventura en Bournemouth en inglaterra me he quedado fascinada con la arquitectura de las casas de ladrillo inglesas y en particularidad con mi sereno y adorable vecindario, así que decidí hacer una re-interpretación en animación de mi calle, con un pequeño toque de magia ya que Halloween a estado próximo!  En una de esas ventanitas podéis imaginarme a mi dibujando todo el día! :D

Rough animation!

I did an amination! Inspired by my friend Joe Darko and the funny animations that we did on the bus trip to London last week, I tried to do an animation about "When Tarzan meets Jane". Is my first try ever, a lot of things can be better but, you know, just trying new things out! :D

Mysterious garden!

I dropped by in Environment of the week and I felt that I couldn´t scape from this week topic: Mysterious Garden! So here it goes my entry! I tried to push the style with something more painterly and loose and playing with the light between the huge vegetation! Always keep on trying new things. A lot of fun! :D

De pasada por el "escenario de la semana" sentí que no podía resistirme al tema de esta vez: el Jardín Misterioso! Así que hice mi propuesta! Intenté llevar al límite el estilo con algo más suelto y difuso, jugando con la luz entre la vegetación. Seguimos experimentando. Ha sido muy divertido! :D

"Look at the World" is published!

Ya llegó! Ya está aquí! La guía educativa "Mira el mundo" en la que he tenido el placer de colaborar con la Fundación Ilundáin ya se ha publicado. Formará parte de una iniciativa educativa que por medio de charlas dará la vuelta a los colegios del país, concienciando a niños y profesores sobre la naturaleza, el medio ambiente y el respeto a la vida! Les acompañarán nuestros simpáticos amigos "Fascinada" y "Mirada profunda" en este viaje! Allá vamos!

It´s here! Is now done the educational book called "Look at the World" that I´ve had the preasure to collaborate in with Ilundain Foundation. It is part of a series of lectures that will take place in the schools of Spain. They will try to  encourage kids and teachers to analyse the nature, the environment and the respect for life! Our happy friends "Fascinada" and "Mirada Profunda" will follow them in this journey! There we go!

Mermaid process

Surgido de unos bocetos de anatomía y movimiento que hice con unas sirenas sale esta pieza que decidí desarrollar a partir de uno de los dibujos. Finalmente el pelo me pedía mas rojo para equilibrar los colores, así que se podría decir que ha resultado como un tributo a Ariel y a nuestra infancia! Espero que os guste!

Out of some anatomy and movement sketches that I did of mermaids, I decided to push one of the drawings to a final piece. Finally the hair needed more red to balance the colors, so It has ended up to be a tribute to Ariel and our Childhood! Hope you like it!

Steampunk Storm Chaser

 Here it goes my CHOW. It was about designing a Steampunk Storm Chaser. I focused on the electrified look, doing someone with too much voltage in his body, small and innocent who doesn´t get to know the power he has.

At some point I realized that could be the son of Doc, of back to the future! Funny thought! A lot of fun with this one! enjoy! 

Aquí va un diseño para "Personaje de la semana". Se trataba de diseñar un Cazador de truenos en estilo Steampunk. Yo me he centrado en el look electrificado, alguien con muchos voltajes en el cuerpo, pequeño e inocente que no llega a saber el poder que tiene.

En cierto punto me di cuenta que parecía el hijo perdido de Doc de regreso al futuro, cosa que encaja bastante con el steampunk, ya que recordé que Doc acaba en el oeste con su mujer y sus hijos, Julio y Verne. Este podría ser Verne. :D Divertidas coincidencias! Muy divertido diseñar este! Enjoy!

To start my "two post per week" I´ve chosen the Illustration Friday topic: Revenge! Specially for Game of Thrones fans and in particular for the readers of the books. Hope you like it!

Character Design! "Fascinada"

Esta vez vamos con un diseño de personajes que me encargaron de nuevo mis amigos de Fundación Ilundáin. En este caso se trata de una publicación que saldrá a la luz próximamente titulada "Mirada al mundo". Consiste en una guía educativa ( por supuesto) pensada para niños, con carácter científico y filosófico. Se trata de la historia de dos alienígenas, "Fascinada" y "Mirada Profunda" que llegan a nuestro planeta y se empiezan a hacer preguntas sobre todo lo que descubren aquí. Por medio de ellos se intenta fomentar el análisis del entorno y la concienciación sobre la naturaleza y el mundo que nos rodea.

En cuanto a los personajes el objetivo era conseguir unos seres adorables y abrazables, graciosos, con aire animaloide, ya que la publicación gira en torno a la naturaleza y el reino animal, y atractivos para niños. Os presento a "Fascinada". Os muestro también los bocetos. Qué os parece? Conseguimos el feeling? Cómo podríamos haberlo mejorado?

Today we go with a character design again for my friends of Ilundáin Fundation. This time is an educational guide ( of course) aimed to kids, with cientific and philosophical material that is called "The world around you". We tell the story of two aliens, "Fascinada" and "Mirada Profunda", that come to our planet and begin to discover it while questioning everything. Trough them, they try to encourage kids to analyse the environment and rise their awareness on the nature and the world around us.

The characters pretended to be adorable and lovable, funny, with animal look, given that the book is about nature, and attractive to kids. I introduce you here " Fascinada". You can also see the sketches for this one. What do you think? Did we get it? How could we have improve it?

Digital painting! New year, new horizons.

El nuevo año llega y nuevos proyectos le siguen. Esta vez estoy empezando con pintura digital. Está inspirado en un antiguo catillo en ruinas que visité en Marruecos este verano. Espero que os guste!

As the new years comes, new proyects follow it. This time I´m starting with digital painting. Inspired in an ancient castle in Maroc I visited this summer. Hope you enjoy!
