Dickens animation Storyboard!!!

Extremely excited to show you my latest work for an animated adaptation of Charles Dickens adventures and characters. This is a pass for the opening, an epic dive into Victorian times with all its numerous facets, as well as into the lives of our friends in the workhouse. What a fascinating time it was!

In this sequence, we see that today is the big day!!!  After years of coats and hats damaged by candle drippings, of writing in the palm of his hand while galloping through wild country, of writing through the dead of the night after endless workdays at the workhouse... Today, Charles Dickens, will finally pitch his novel to madame deBourbain, in the wish of her becoming his patron... No pressure...Wish him luck!!!!

Below all the panels for better preview! Cheers!

  1. Brilliant work Almu! I love the cinematic effects with DOF changes and moving foreground elements passing in front of the camera -- wonderful! :D

  2. Thanks a lot Emmeline!!! The idea was to have a lot of depth in the space and elements passing by to get a busy, dense and multilayered world, vibrant and full of life, characters and possible story lines, as Victorian Times were. :D
